Emanuela Delbufalo is Associate Professor of Operations & Supply Chain Management in the Faculty of Economics, European University of Rome, Rome, Italy. She is also Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Cranfield School of Management, Cranfield University, UK. She graduated summa cum laude in Political Science (Economic Profile) from the University of Macerata, Macerata, Italy, in 2003 and then completed an MSc in Industrial Relationships with Eastern Countries at the university. In 2008 she was awarded her PhD by the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” for a thesis entitled “Trust and risk in inter-firm relationships: a relational view perspective”. Her interests include supply chain management and innovation, supply chain information sharing and transparency, lean and agile supply chains, and relational governance in inter-firm relationships (trust-based mechanisms). She has published widely on these subjects.
