Springer Berlin (Verlag)
978-3-662-51103-9 (ISBN)
Satya P. Gupta's Hydroxamics Acids is the first book to compile invited articles written by international experts on the class of compounds hydroxamic acids. Found to possess a wide spectrum of biological activities, the hydroxamic acids are of interest to theoretical and experimental chemists who can study and make use of them in drug design and development. Chapters in this book provide a diverse and comprehensive coverage of this compound class and consequently this publication is a valuable resource for researchers in chemical, pharmaceutical and biological sciences.
Satya P. Gupta is Professor of Eminence in the Department of Applied Sciences at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Meerut. He has a wide range of experience in publishing including acting as a Guest Editor of Current Medicinal Chemistry and Combinatorial Chemistry & High Throughput Screening and serving as Editor-in-Chief for several journals. Additionally, he has guest-edited two volumes of Topics in Heterocyclic Chemistry and recently edited a number of books. Dr. Gupta has also served on the Editorial Board of the Indian Journal of Chemistry, Sec B (CSIR, New Delhi) and presently is at the editorial board of Letters in Drug Design and Discovery, Online Journal of Organic Chemistry, and BenSci Journal, and Research and Reports in Medicinal Chemistry. Dr. Gupta has contributed more than a half dozen reviews in Chemical Reviews in addition to many in Progress in Drug Research, Current Medicinal Chemistry, and some others, besides hundreds of excellent original publications in various internationally reputed journals.
