He was the recipient of the Junior and Senior Research Fellowship awards by the University Grants Commission of India to pursue his doctoral studies. He also holds four master’s degrees viz., MBA, MA (English Literature), MA (Philosophy) and M.Sc (Psychology). He is also a qualified lawyer.
