"Trog's a great artist. He can stay in between the lines. This coloring book gets an A+ and a smiley face." --Tommy Chong
"Smelly, sticky and Stoned as F*ck, this art takes me back to the day when we were young, wild and fearless. Surfing and Skating our dayz away and nights were filled with big fast cars and smoking hot women... Enjoy it; I did." --Farmer Tom Lauerman (#TodayWeFarm)
Trevor Rogan (Trog) started out drawing underground stoner comix in 1994, and says he has always been aware from day one of where he wanted to be and what he wanted to do: He wanted to do underground comix but purely for stoner culture and what surrounded that. Trog didn't want to just touch on this area; he wanted to be all in and wanted his work to solely be for the stoner community. He started out studying at the Perth School of Art & Design. After leaving there he floated around and spent a lot of time surfing and skateboarding. An intense music fan, he started touring with various bands, which opened many doors for him. The first piece that really got attention for Trog was a signed print he designed for the band Kottonmouth Kings, which was released at a 420 concert they did with Cypress Hill in 2007. He signed 500 copies and all 500 sold out. That poster now sells for hundreds of dollars on eBay. From there Trog just kept drawing underground comix and was already gaining a following but didn’t have social media or a website. He just kept drawing and dropping artwork through bands on tour and through merch sales. Meanwhile, his fan base kept growing. When he finally did enter social media (people and events could then contact him directly), his popularity and opportunities snowballed. Trog has created art for dozens and dozens of events, and has been featured on the covers and in the pages of countless magazines (some in languages he cant even read!) and private sales/commissions. But don’t be fooled; Trog is serious about his art. He loves to draw, it’s his passion. He thinks about drawing all the time. I relax when I believes he was put here to draw and hopefully will be drawing until the day he dies. Trog points to a handful of cult underground comix artists from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s, and says he’s always had a passion to somehow continue parts of what they have created, to carry on their tradition—but to do so his own way—with an emphasis on the cannabis stoner culture.
