The authors acknowledge the past, highlight the present, and point the way to the future of structural integration and related approaches. Their writing is grounded in the vernacular of science and medicine, while still leaving room for the transformative nature of touch-based therapy included in case reports and practice-based evidence.
The carefully selected line-up of contributors includes SI practitioner, teachers, and thought leaders in fields of manual therapy, movement, and trauma.
In Structural Integration: A Holistic Approach to Manual Therapy the aim of the authors has been to build bridges between different schools and philosophies of SI, and between SI and other somatic/therapeutic/medical professions. The book should become a foundational text for all students and practitioners and those interested in this emerging client-centered therapy.
