Alistair Blamire was a very good distance runner indeed whether you are talking of track, road or country. He is consequently well versed in the ways of athletes. A superbly talented all-round distance runner who is seriously under-rated. Whether it were on the roads or the track, over the country or the hills, he ran well. He ran well in individual races and also in team events such as the Edinburgh to Glasgow. He now lives and writes from his home in Scotland and is an advocate for running at any speed
