Gordon trained in classical ballet at Rambert between 1970 and 1974. Gordon with another top UK pilates expert Lynne Robinson, created Body Control Pilates, the first teacher training courses for both mat and machine in London and abroad. He is the co-author of many books on pilates, including Official Body Control Pilates Manual. Helge Fisher is one of the co-founders of the Body Control Pilates Association with Lynne Robinson and Gordon Thompson. She is co-author of The Body Control Pilates Back Book.
