Following an introduction to ultrasound anatomy, this atlas of scrotal ultrasound deals with the principal clinical problems encountered in practice by clinicians and radiologists, such as chronic and post-operative conditions and infertility.
This atlas is the first one dedicated entirely to the pathology of the scrotal contents. It has 710 illustrations, each of which is accompanied by a labelled diagram and detailed description. The chapters are formatted for easy use, with a short text and tables or algorithms preceding the images. The first chapter covers essential embryology and ultrasound anatomy. This is followed by the principal clinical presentations encountered in practice by the clinician and radiologist (the acute scrotum, chronic conditions, the post-operative scrotum and infertility). The concluding chapters are concerned with the differential diagnosis of intrascrotal cysts and calcifications.
