Professor Luigi Pederzini specialised in Orthopaedics and Traumatology in 1986, and perfected his studies on several occasions with training courses abroad at prestigious universities, which enabled him to deepen his current fields of interest. He has worked as a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Milan 'Bicocca' and is Head of the Department of Orthopaedics and Arthroscopic Surgery New Hospital of Sassuolo (MO) and Consultant for Elbow and Knees Surgery at Hesperia Hospital in Modena (MO).
He is one of the most authoritative figures for the specialty of arthroscopic diagnostic and surgical orthopaedics of the elbow, and is Top Specialist for elbow surgery at the FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence at Villa Stuart Nursing Home in Rome - Top Physio Balduina.
He is a Member of the ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine) Committee and of the ESSKA (European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy) Committee for arthroscopy of the upper limb, Past President of the SIA (Italian Society of Arthroscopy, today SIAGASCOT) and Member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) since 2006.
Prof. Toshiyasu Nakamura is the current professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, School of Medicine, International University of Health and Welfare, Tokyo, Japan. He completed his residency program in Keio University School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan and was a chief of hand and upper extremity service, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Keio University, Tokyo Japan until 2014, then moved to International University of Health and Welfare, School of Medicine. He finished his research fellowship at Orthopaedic Biomechanics Laboratory, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA under supervision by Prof Richard A. Berger in 1999 and at Hand Center of Western New York, State University of New York at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY, USA under supervision by Prof Clayton A. Peimer. He published more than 120 peer-reviewed papers and more than 30 book chapters, especially about the wrist injury, such as TFCC injury. He is current Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Wrist Surgery. He is the executive board member of Japan Elbow Society and will organize Annual Meeting of Japan Elbow Society in Tokyo in March 2027.
Gregory I Bain is Professor of Upper Limb Surgery and Research at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Flinders Medical Centre and Flinders University of South Australia, Adelaide, South Australia. He completed a clinical fellowship at the Hand and Upper Limb Unit in London, Canada with Drs Jim Roth, Graham King and Robert Mc Farlane. Prof. Bain is former Chairman of the ISAKOS Elbow, Wrist and Hand Committee. He is a former president of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia, Asia Pacific Wrist Association and International Wrist Arthroscopy Association.
He is on the Editorial board member of Journal of ISAKOS and Deputy Editor of Journal of Wrist Surgery. He has published more than 200 peer review publications, 100 book chapters, co-edited multiple books.
He has been awarded the Australian Orthopaedic Association Research Award 2009 for "Producing outstanding Orthopaedic research that has international recognition, and research contributing to the orthopaedic community and the community generally". He has been honoured with the Terry Whipple Award by the Presidential Council of the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society for "his contribution in the advancement of knowledge in wrist arthroscopy".
Andrea Celli is an Orthopedic Surgeon at the Shoulder and Elbow Unit at Hesperia Hospital in Modena, Italy.
