Dr Thomas Cordier created the interpersonal-cognitive-behavioral treatment system and the child behavioral program at the NECBT Cordier Institute for I-CBT in Glastonbury Connecticut. Dr Cordier has studied the approach and effectiveness of an interpersonal approach to cognitive-behavioral therapy and created an integrative clinical concept that merges components of validated, effective treatment modalities and tools into one unique treatment system that is user friendly for both clinicians and patients of all ages. In addition, Dr Cordier trains each clinician at the institute by utilizing an intensive training program that he has developed. Dr Cordier has an extensive background in the clinical treatment of children and adolescents as well as adults. He received his bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of CT and completed his graduate work in clinical psychology at the University of Hartford and The Graduate Theological Foundation where he received his Ph.D. Dr Cordier worked on the evaluation and testing of children and teens with behavioral issues such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiance disorder (ODD), and conduct disorder (CD) as an intern at Yale University. He also worked with children, teens and adults at St Francis and Hartford Hospital's PHP, emergency psychiatric and substance abuse centers in Connecticut.
