Derek Harvey is a naturalist who graduated in Zoology from Liverpool University. He has worked in UK schools teaching biology and as a Senior Examiner for an examination board. With a keen interest in evolutionary biology and genetics, he now writes and consults on books relating to science and natural history and his titles include Science (DK) and The Natural History Book (DK).
