Alisdair Templeton has been involved in writing SAP custom code for more than 15 years. A strong advocate of testdriven development, Alisdair has been preaching the value of building well-architected software to everyone who even looks like they might start the ABAP Development Workbench. Using these principles, Alisdair has been involved in successfully delivering many large custom development projects in mining, utilities, retail, and government sectors. Alisdair won the 2010 Demo Jam at SAP TechEd Las Vegas with fellow SAP Mentor Matt Harding with their vision of an HTML5-based mobile application. Since then, Alisdair has gone on to win the 2012 Mastering SAP Technologies Demo Jam with an SAP Streamwork-based collaborative code review tool. Alisdair has an honors degree in engineering (computer systems) from the University of Tasmania. He became an SAP mentor in 2011, and he regularly presents at SAP TechEd, Mastering SAP Technologies in Australia, and the SAP Australia User Group. Tony de Thomasis is a well-known figure in the SAP community with more than 20 years of industry-related experience. He was responsible for the installation of the first R/2 system in Australia and has worked on some of the largest companies worldwide. He has helped many organizations establish and optimize their SAP Solution Manager capability as an initiative to promote SAP Best Practices and reduce support costs across a complex landscape. Tony holds a bachelor of business degree and several SAP certifications, including the SAP Technical Quality Manager Certification earned in September 2012. He is a regular presenter at SAP TechEd, SAP Australia User Group, and Mastering SAP Technologies events; a lecturer at the Victoria University of Technology; and a frequent contributor to the SAPexperts magazine.
