A collection of quotations from both poetry and prose, illustrated with the poet's own original paintings. This volume celebrates love in various forms and moods.
"Seduce your Valentine with a touch of Eastern promise." One of the world's favourite poets, Kahlil Gibran was never more profound than when he wrote about love. Now, for the first time, his reflections on love and friendship have been gathered together in one volume. In this beautiful collection of quotations from both poetry and prose, illustrated with the poet's own original paintings, Gibran celebrates love in all its forms and moods, with the same simplicity and lyrical beauty that made "The Prophet" loved by people around the world. Inspiring and moving, Gibran's words on love will speak to friends and lovers everywhere.

Kahlil Gibran (1883 - 1931) was one of the twentieth century's most inspirational poets and authors. Influenced by Blake, Nietsche and the King James Bible, and best-known for his masterpiece, The Prophet hisbooks have sold more than ten million copies in English alone. His mystical drawings and paintings were compared by Auguste Rodin to the work of William Blake. Kahlil Gibran died in 1931. Suheil Bushrui is internationally recognized as the foremost authority on Kahlil Gibran, and has widely published on him in Arabic and in English, including the leading biography, Kahlil Gibran: Man and Poet (Oneworld).
