In turn, the book offers a critical review of his ideas in the areas of psychology and education. Lastly, it assesses Dewey’s involvement in and impact on education. Rex Li is Founder of G.T. (Ellen Yeung) College, Hong Kong. He received his Doctor of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. He is a psychologist and a pioneering educator of the gifted in Hong Kong. The founder of the Hong Kong Mathematical Olympiad School, he serves as a consultant and advisor to many local and overseas institutions. He was appointed as a Visiting Professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Psychology, Beijing (1997) and at the Dewey Centre, Fudan University, Shanghai (2016). He is the chief editor of John Dewey’s Selected Works and the author of many scholarly works.
