Dr Mustapha Sheikh is lecturer in Islamic Studies at Leeds University.He studied at University College London, completing a BSc in Project Management, and at St Cross College, Oxford, where he gained an MSt in the Study of Religion and D.Phil. in Theology.In addition to his academic education he has also studied traditional Islamic sciences in Damascus and Istanbul, including the following disciplines: Arabic grammar, logic, jurisprudence, legal theory, Qur'anic exegesis, hadith and Sufism.
