Is it necessary to advocate both realism and the corresponding theory of truth? Is the demarcation of science, which Popper considered to be so important, necessary and convincing? How can the concept of rationality be developed so that it contains more than the mere openess to criticism?
The authors of this book propose solutions to these and other questions. The articles in this volume are the result of a colloqium which took place on the occasion of Hans Albert's 75th birthday. The purpose of this book is not only to honour Hans Albert and to pay tribute to his works but also to provide a critical analysis of his philosophy and its significance to the social sciences.
