Farhan Ahmed is a senior education professional with more than 17 years of hard core national and international experience in academia and the developmental sector. His areas of work include financial economics, environmental economics, energy finance, sustainable finance, climate literacy and development economics, professional trainings and research. At present, he is an Assistant Professor at Economics and Management Sciences Dept. at NED University. His major creative contribution for NED includes the development of Center of Excellence for Socio-Economic Development and Policy (CESDP) and departmental research journal. Dr. Farhan Ahmed has also privilege of winning three Best Research Awards for the year 2021, 2022 and 2023 awarded by Advanced Studies and Research Board, NEDUET. Previously, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Finance and the Managing Editor of Journal of Independent Studies & Research (JISR-MSSE) with SZABIST. At SZABIST, he significantly contributed in the devising the strategic plan of the faculty of management sciences. He has been responsible for raising the standards and quality of research in the field of management, social sciences and economics, providing the research related capacity building trainings/workshops to the faculty of management sciences and social sciences, ushering in innovative trends in journal and editorial management, creating industry-academia linkages at national and international forums. Dr. Ahmed has 70+ international publications in JCR/ABS/ABDC/Web of Science/Scopus/HEC indexed learned journals. Dr. Ahmed has been serving as a member of board of studies, board of faculty, board of advanced studies and research (BASR), think tanks and editorial boards with various other organizations. He has also worked in the capacity of Technical, Research and Data Consultant for the development sector organizations. Dr. Ahmed has had the honor of being first ever an Asian nominee for Moskowitz Prize 2022 (Significant contribution in the field of Sustainable Finance) by Kellogg School of Management, NorthWest University, US. He has also had honor of winning the Best Teacher Award 2021 and Best Published Research Award 2021 and 2022 from NED Alumni Association of Southern California (NEDAASC). He has also been a visiting professor at International Doctoral School (EIDUAL), Universidad de Almeria, Almeria, Spain and Gaziosmanpasa University, Tokat, Turkey. He has also presented papers and given invited talks nationally and internationally. Raza Ali Khan is an economist and Social Scientist with expertise in Engineering Economics and Project Evaluation Analysis. He also specializes in Construction Economics and Management. Dr. Khan has achieved a Ph.D. degree from the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) Malaysia under the PETRONAS Malaysia Fellowship in 2014. In his Ph.D. research, he developed the Vector Error Correction Model Equation for the construction sector of Malaysia. He is well qualified and has degrees in Economics and International Relations. Besides this, he has a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and a Diploma in Civil Engineering. With more than 25 scholarly contributions to peer-reviewed Academic Journals, he has presented several Research Papers at national and international conferences in Pakistan and abroad. These countries include Malaysia, Singapore, Hongkong, and Thailand, to name a few. Most of the articles were published in SCOPUS Journal. While being a Research Consultant for PIP for Pakistan Energy Outlook, he developed PEO-2015, PEO-2019, and PEO-2020 for PIP. He also conducted Research Studies for HEC (NRPU Project), Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) for KWSB, Transport Problems of Karachi, for Mass Transit. Recently Dr. Khan has completed a research study titled "In-Depth Analysis of Green Banking Guidelines of SBP" with the collaboration of Indus Consortium Pakistan. Including the examination of several Ph.D. and M.Phil Students, Dr. Khan has also supervised 15 M.Phil students in completing their thesis. He has also had the opportunity to teach various courses at graduate and post-graduate levels in various educational institutes and universities such as UTP Malaysia, University of Karachi (Pakistan), SZABIST (Pakistan), Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi, Sir Syed University Engineering and Technology, Institute of Industrial Electronics Engineering, Usman Institute of Technology and Karachi University Business School (Pakistan). Currently, serves as a Professor and Chairman of the Economics and Management Sciences Department at NED University of Engineering and Technology (Pakistan).
