Jean M. Walker has been involved with the Agricultural History Society of Ireland since 2015 and contributed a chapter on gender and cattle husbandry in Ireland to the Society's last volume Cattle in Ancient and Modern Ireland. She lecturers in social history at undergraduate level, with courses in the social history of health and medicine and the gendered history of nineteenth- and twentieth-century Ireland. Jean has a personal interest in agricultural issues.
