Cows are one of the most common farm animals on earth, but what many people dont realise is that they are also gentle creatures with a uniquely inquisitive nature. Moo is a collection of quotes from famous cow-admirers including Charles Dickens, Mary Quant and more, paired with charming photographs that celebrate the humble cow.
Cows are my passion. What I have ever sighed for has been to retreat to a Swiss farm, and live entirely surrounded by cows – and china. – Charles Dickens

Angus St John Galloway has spent his life around cattle and is deeply concerned for their welfare. From having a family cow as a child he came to be aware of just how friendly and attached to humans they can be. The growing popularity of cows being in small holdings again, the vastly increasing intolerance for any maltreatment of cows, and the thousands of rescue organizations inspired him to produce this joyful pictorial celebration of the world’s billion cows.
