This book highlights the world distribution of eucalyptus plantations and the recent state of research on the utilization of planted eucalyptus for engineered wood products (EWPs) manufacturing. EWPs such as particleboard, fiberboard, oriented strand board, laminated veneer lumber, plywood, glue-laminated lumber, and cross-laminated lumber are highlighted. Eucalyptus is the main fiber resource for the pulp and paper industries in developed countries. Timber and fibers extracted from eucalyptus have long been utilized for solid wood and manufacturing of medium-density fiberboard. Other uses of eucalyptus such as pulp and paper, fuels, and chemical feedstocks are also discussed. Economic, social, and environmental assessments of eucalyptus products are presented.

Dr. Lee is a senior lecturer at the Department of Wood Industry, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Universiti Teknologi MARA Pahang Branch Campus Jengka. His research interests include wood composites, wood treatments, wood adhesives, and polymers.

Dr. Lum is a senior lecturer at the Department of Bio and Natural Resource Technology, Faculty of Bioengineering and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan Jeli Campus. His main research interests include engineered wood for structural applications, wood-based composite, and wood fire properties.

Prof. Dr. Petar Antov is a professor at the University of Forestry, based in Sofia, Bulgaria. His main research interests are in the field of wood technology, wood-based composites, biobased wood adhesives, formaldehyde emission, formaldehyde scavengers, eco-friendly wood-based composites, occupational safety, and health at work in wood industry enterprises, ergonomics and ergonomic design of furniture products. Dr. Antov has been involved in various national and international research and educational projects in the field of the wood industry, forestry, and education.

Dr. Lubos Kristak is the head of the Department of Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Applied Mechanics, Faculty of Wood Sciences and Technology in Zvolen, Slovakia. He received Assoc. Prof. title in Physics. His scientific interest is the physical properties of wood, insulations board (from the thermal and acoustic point of view), wood composites, and wood adhesives.

Dr. Lubis received his B.Sc. in Forestry from IPB University (Bogor, Indonesia) in 2011 and integrated master/doctoral and Ph.D. in wood science and technology from Kyungpook National University (Daegu, South Korea) in 2019.
