Edward J. Noga, MS, DVM, received his BS (with honors) and MS in Biology from Florida Atlantic University. He received the DVM degree with honors from the University of Florida in 1982. Also in 1982, he joined the faculty at North Carolina State University as an Assistant Professor of Aquatic Medicine, where he initiated the Aquatic Medicine program. Currently he is Professor of Aquatic Medicine. His main interests involve studies of infectious diseases in finfish and shellfish, with emphasis on immune mechanisms and how these are influenced by environment and toxins.
