The eighth edition of this well-respected text has been thoroughly updated, and covers 6 major topics of discussion, including Arthropods, Protozoans, Helminths, Antiparasitic drugs, Diagnostic Parasitology and Histopathological Diagnosis. It also features extensive discussion of dog and cat parasites, particularly hookworms and roundworms. Although the diseases caused by these infections are not as common as 20 years ago, the parasites are still routinely infecting patients. Hundreds of illustrations make for helpful identification and the easy-to-follow format allows for quick, but detailed overviews of specific topics.
