This book presents the essentials of Bluetooth in ways that make sense to a programmer and not in the ways laid out in the Bluetooth specification. The approach is to start simply, allowing the reader to quickly master the basic concepts before addressing advanced features.
This book provides an introduction to Bluetooth programming, with a specific focus on developing real code. Albert S. Huang is a Ph.D. candidate at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). His primary areas of research are in robotics and computer vision. He is a Linux Bluetooth developer. Larry Rudolph, Ph.D., received his doctorate from NYU's Courant Institute. He is currently a Principal Research Scientist at MIT and a co-faculty member at the New England Complex Science Institute. His most recent research has been in the field of mobile computing.
