Shiyuan Zhao was born in Zhengzhou, China, in August 1995. He completed his bachelor's degree in electronic science and technology at Xidian University, China, in 2017, and went on to pursue a master's degree in optoelectronics at Institut Polytechnique de Paris, France, graduating in 2020. Subsequently, he obtained his Ph.D. from Télécom Paris and Institut Polytechnique de Paris in 2023. His area of expertise lies in the theoretical modelling and experimental characterization of semiconductor lasers, with a specific focus on their applications in photonic integrated circuits.
1 Introduction.- 2 Semiconductor lasers: Fundamentals and Theory.- 3 Classical Noise and Feedback Dynamics in Quantum-Confined Lasers.- 4 Quantum Fluctuations and Amplitude Squeezing in Quantum-Confined Lasers.- 5 Conclusion & Perspectives.
