Dr. Lamprou is Full Professor, Chair of Biofabrication and Advanced Manufacturing, and Director at MSc Industrial Pharmaceutics at Queen's University Belfast. He is also the Chair at United Kingdom and Ireland Controlled Release Society (UKICRS) and the Chair of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences (APS) Emerging Technologies Focus Group. Dimitrios, is the author of over 140 peer-reviewed publications (including 3 books in 3D Printing area), has over 350 conference abstracts, has given over 150 Invited Talks in institutions and conferences across the world, and has secure Funding more than £3M. Dimitrios, has been recognized as world leader in 3D Printing with PubMed-based algorithms placed him in the top 0.088% of scholars in the world writing about 3D Printing in the last 10 years. Dimitrios has also been named in the Stanford University's list 2021 & 2022 of World's Top 2% Scientists, for his research in Pharmaceutics and Biomedical Engineering. Dimitris Fatouros is Professor in Pharmaceutics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki School of Pharmacy. He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Patras in Greece. He subsequently held posts as a Post-Doctoral fellow at Leiden/Amsterdam Centre of Drug Delivery (LA/CDR), Research Assistant Professor at Danish University of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Senior Lecturer at School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Portsmouth University. His areas of research expertise cover additive manufacturing, mucosal delivery, nanomedicine and poorly soluble drugs. He has contributed over 180 publications in refereed journals and books. He has filled three national (granted) and five international patents. He has been Theme Editor in Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews “Personalized nanomedicine” (Editors, Vizirianakis and Fatouros, ADDR 2012 64 :1359-62) and “Additive Manufacturing in Pharmaceutical Product Design” (Editors, Rantanen and Fatouros 2021 178:113991). He is Associate Editor in Journal of Drug Delivery Science and Technology (Elsevier), Associate Editor in Frontiers and Bioengineering and Biotechnology and member of the Editorial Board of Pharmaceutics.
