Dr. Kanak Kalita is an accomplished professor and researcher in the field of Computational Engineering. With a PhD in Computational Mechanics and Soft Computing, he brings over 8 years of experience to the field. With 68 SCI and 115 SCOPUS articles, 5 edited book volumes, and 1450+ citations with a h-index of 22, he is a respected voice in his field. He has delivered 20+ expert lectures. He serves as the associate editor of four SCOPUS journals and guest editor of two SCI journals. Dr. Kalita's research interests include machine learning, fuzzy decision making, metamodeling, process optimization, finite element method, and composites. He has developed several codes in Fortran/Python/MATLAB for finite element analysis, optimization algorithms, and metamodeling algorithms, and is proficient in ANSYS, Python, with working knowledge of Abaqus and R programming. His ORCID id is 0000-0001-9289-9495.
Dr. Ranjan Kumar Ghadai is a distinguished academician with extensive research experience in the field of materials science and nanotechnology. He holds a M-Tech and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering, Science & Technology, Shibpur, India along with a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha, India. He has over 10 years of teaching and research experience. Currently, he is working as an Associate professor in the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department of Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, India. He has published more than 75 SCI/Scopus-indexed research articles. His broad research area includes thin film coating deposition, Process Optimization, and development of Composites. Currently, he is handling two sponsored projects as PI and one as Co-PI. His current h-index is 22 and his i10 index is 33. He has guided 3 PG students and is currently guiding 5 PhD scholars. Also, he is the reviewer of many peer-reviewed journals like Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing, Scientific Reports, Advances in Manufacturing, Surface and Interface, Materials Chemistry and Physics etc. He has given talks in many conferences and workshops as a resource person. He is the Associate Editor of Frontier in Mechanical Engineering. He has edited 4 books and 4 conference proceedings.
Dr. J. Paulo Davim is a Full Professor at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He is also distinguished as honorary professor in several universities/colleges/institutes in China, India and Spain. He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1997, M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering (materials and manufacturing processes) in 1991, Mechanical Engineering degree (5 years) in 1986, from the University of Porto (FEUP), the Aggregate title (Full Habilitation) from the University of Coimbra in 2005 and the D.Sc. (Higher Doctorate) from London Metropolitan University in 2013. He is Senior Chartered Engineer by the Portuguese Institution of Engineers with an MBA and Specialist titles in Engineering and Industrial Management as well as in Metrology. He is also Eur Ing by FEANI-Brussels and Fellow (FIET) of IET-London. He has more than 35 years of teaching and research experience in Manufacturing, Materials, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, with special emphasis in Machining & Tribology. He has guided large numbers of postdoc, Ph.D. and master's students as well as has coordinated and participated in several financed research projects. He has received several scientific awards and honours. His ORCID is 0000-0002-5659-3111.
