This volume is devoted to hypersonics, including experimental work achieved in shock tunnel flows with a particular emphasis on the influence in hypersonics and aerospace studies.
Recently, there have been significant advances in the fields of high-enthalpy hypersonic flows, high-temperature gas physics, and chemistry shock propagation in various media, industrial and medical applications of shock waves, and shock-tube technology. This series contains all the papers and lectures of the 19th International Symposium on Shock Waves. They are published in four volumes, each containing papers on related topics and each preceded by an overview. This volume is devoted to hypersonics, including experimental work achieved in shock tunnel flows with a particular emphasis on the influence in hypersonics and aerospace studies. It addresses scientists working in "hot" hypersonics, aerospace engineers, shock tube designers, researchers using shock tubes and CFD people trying to simulate complex reactive flowfields.
