This book introduces super gravity metallurgy in separation of valuable component in metallurgical slag. It collects the principle, apparatus and research for super gravity high-temperature metallurgy and the novel technology for selective crystallization and separation of various valuable components in different metallurgical slags by super gravity. Furthermore, the research results previously scattered in many journals and conferences worldwide are methodically edited and presented in a unified form. The book is likely to be of interest to university teachers, researchers, R&D engineers and graduate students in pyrometallurgy and extractive metallurgy who wish to explore innovative methods and technologies that lead to more efficient and environmentally sustainable utilization of metallurgical slag.

Jintao Gao is a professor of State Key Laboratory of Advanced Metallurgy, in University of Science and Technology Beijing, China. He works on super gravity metallurgy and complex ore metallurgy. He is the member of National Youth Talent Program (2022), the member in Metallurgical Reaction Engineering Committee of the Chinese Society for Metals, and the member in youth committee of Solid Waste Sub-Committee in the Chinese Ceramic Society. He has been authored over 100 papers indexed by SCI and 1 book, and has been authorized over 20 patents. He won the American Ceramic Society Spriggs Phase Equilibria Award and the Metallurgical Science and Technology Award.

Zhancheng Guo is a professor and director of State Key Laboratory of Advanced Metallurgy, in University of Science and Technology Beijing, China. He works on new iron-making and steel-making process development, energy conservation and secondary resource recycling within metallurgic process. He is the winner of the National Outstanding Youth Scientist Foundation of NSFC, the member in Hundred-Talent Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the first and second level member of National Tens of Thousands of Talents Project, the member in Metallurgical Reaction Engineering Committee of the Chinese Society for Metals and the editorial board member of Journal of Chemical Industry and Engineering and the Chinese Journal of Process Engineering. He has been authored over 300 papers indexed by SCI/EI and 5 books and has been authorized over 40 patents.
