This book explains the theory and technology of converting electric energy to another form of energy, such as thermal, chemical, or mechanical, as well as the operating principles of installations and calculation methods. It provides strict classification of the procedures of converting electric energy to other forms of energy, a theoretical explanation of conversion mechanisms, a calculation of energy converters, and a complete presentation of the stated problem and its novelty. It represents a significant contribution to practice since it generalizes new theoretical statements, calculation methods, and installations, as well as the operation features of electrotechnological equipment most widely used in the countries of Eastern Europe.

Yuheni Zayats is Professor and Electrotechnology Chair of the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University. He previously served as Head of the Experimental Pilot Production Department of the Physical-Technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. He the author of over 150 printed works, including 12 textbooks and two monographs. His research interests are related to electrothermochemical changes in the properties of organic dispersed hydraulic systems.Andrei Chorny is Associate Professor and Head of the Turbulence Laboratory at the A.V. Luikov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. He graduated from the Belarusian State University and is the author of over 110 publications. His research interests are related to fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer and electrohydrodynamics.
