Fire Engineering Books (Verlag)

A must read for those who battle hostile fires Firefighters owe it to the public they protect, as well as to themselves and their families, to be as proficient as they can be at residential fire suppression. There are no second chances to do it right.
We must be at the top of our game every time we go out the door on a residential fire call. The greatest asset we have is a thinking, knowledgeable, well-trained, sensibly aggressive, physically fit firefighter. They should:
Participate in frequent hands-on training.
Learn lessons from those who paid the ultimate price. Make sure fire service members know their sacrifice.
Do something each day to improve through drills.
Be the best trained, ready and prepared firefighter you can be.

He served as an instructor at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) and numerous conferences and fire schools, provided technical assistance and review of several fire service books and videos, and is author of more than 20 articles in fire service journals. He participated in curriculum development and helped write training manuals for IFSI, Illinois’s Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM), the International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA), and the National Fire Academy (NFA). He holds degrees in history, fire science, and adult technical and vocational education. He served as a sergeant in the Army’s Third Infantry Regiment (Old Guard), on the Illinois Terrorism Task Force, and on the Central Illinois Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team.
