Springer Singapore (Verlag)
978-981-16-4087-2 (ISBN)
This book provides insight on processing mechanics during ship and offshore structure, and researchers, scientists, and engineers in the field of manufacturing process mechanics can benefit from the book. This book is written by subject experts based on the recent research results in FE computation on accuracy fabrication of ship and offshore structures based on processing mechanics. In order to deal with actual engineering problems during construction of ship and offshore structure, it proposes advanced computational approaches such as thermal elastic-plastic and elastic FE computations and employed to examine physical behavior and clarifies generation mechanism of mechanical response. As such, this book provides valuable knowledge, useful methods, and practical algorithms that can be considered in manufacturing process mechanics.
About the author:
Dr. Zhou Hong received his Ph.D. degree in design and manufacture of ships and offshore structures from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2013, and currently is Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Member of Ship Mechanics Academic Committee of China's Society of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, and Member of Jiangsu Key Laboratory Committee of Marine Engineering Equipment. His research interests focus on welding distortion prediction and mitigation, fabrication processing mechanics, and application of advanced computational techniques. He won 4 second prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards. Until now, about 20 scientific papers were published in SCI journal and international conference.
Dr. Wang Jiangchao, Associate Professor in School of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, who obtained Ph.D. degree of Engineering from Osaka University in 2013. Research topics include welding distortion prediction and mitigation, fabrication processing mechanics, application of advanced computational techniques, and mechanical performance assessment of welded structure. Until now, about 40 scientific papers were published in SCI journal and international conference; and H index is 11. Best student paper award of ISOPE and significant paper of SNAME were also obtained.
