Mr. Jin-Cheng Li, Vice President of China Railway First Survey & Design Institute Group, has been working as the Chief Engineer on the Qinghai-Tibetan railway construction project since 2000 and has accumulated substantial first-hand experience of railway routing in complicated geological environment on Qinghai-Tibetan plateau, such as railway routing in permafrost regions, active fault zones, meizoseismal areas, natural reserves, slope-geohazard regions, as well as geothermal, windy-sand, and snow drift hazard regions. He has several important publications to his name and has won a number of honors for his outstanding contributions to the construction of more than ten national key railway projects. Mr. Jin-Cheng Li, was ranked as the first contributor. 4. Technique on permafrost of Qinghai-Tibetan railway project has won the outstanding award of Chinese railway so ciety in 2007. Award No. 2007-066 5. The design of active protection of permafrost roadbed in Qinghai-Tibetan railway project has won the first prize of excellent design of China Railway Construction Corporation in 2007. Award No. SJ-2007-02-02 6. 1:2000 digital topographical map from Golmud to Lhasa of Qinghai-Tibetan railway project by aerial survey has won the bronze prize for national excellent project survey and design of ministry of railways in 2006. Mr. Jin-Cheng Li was ranked as the second contributor. 7. Mr. Jin-Cheng Li was awarded as the pacesetter of national science and technology 2008. 8. Mr. Jin-Cheng Li was awarded the certificate of special government allowances of the state council in 2007. 9. Mr. Jin-Cheng Li was awarded the certificate of national excellent scientific and technological worker in 2005.
