This book is the first in a series compiling highly cited articles in nanomedicine recently. The series is edited by Lajos P. Balogh, a prominent nanotechnology researcher and journal editor. The first book content is about nanotechnology in cancer research. It also includes a wide variety of must-know topics that will appeal to any researcher involved in nanomedicine, macromolecular science, cancer therapy, and drug delivery research. These 31 articles collected here have already acquired more than 3500 citations (i.e., over a hundred on average), highlighting the importance and recognized professional interest of the scientists working in this field.

Lajos P. Balogh, PhD, is the owner and chief scientific advisor of AA Nanomedicine & Nanotechnology, a consulting firm registered in Essex County, Massachusetts, USA. He also serves as the executive editor of Manuscript Clinic (www.manuscriptclinic.us) and supports scientists and students to successfully publish their research results in the field of nanomedicine and nanotechnology. Dr. Balogh was the editor-in-chief of Nanomedicine: Nanotechnology, Biology and Medicine for seven years and transformed the journal to a highly respected professional publication. He held faculty positions at Kossuth University, Debrecen, Hungary; University of Massachusetts Lowell, Massachusetts; Michigan Molecular Institute, Midland, Michigan; University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, New York; and Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. He has published 219 scientific papers, has given more than 250 invited lectures, and has been awarded 12 patents. Dr. Balogh has 14 papers with more than 100 citations and 6 with more than 200 citations in nanomedicine. He is one of the five founders of the American Society for Nanomedicine and a board member of many international scientific organizations.
