An introduction to the principles and functions of new techniques in digital radiography, this book includes evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of the process.
Although some 70% of radiological examinations are still recorded on film or screen radiographs, the image information in an ever-increasing number of examinations is now being recorded and stored in digital form on computers. This book is the result of two meetings of radiologists, medical physicists and industry representatives at Mannheim Hospital in 1990 and 1991 which aimed to explore new developments in digital radiography. It presents an introduction to the subject, and includes evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of the process.
