Eavvon O'Neal is a Philadelphia-born, Brooklyn, NY-based writer and filmmaker. After starting in music documentaries, his passion for fiction and non-fiction storytelling has expanded to multiple forms of media creation in the name of experimentation. His first short film Mister Backlash premiered in competition at the New Hampshire film festival in 2022. He has edited multiple series for Vox, Netflix, NBC and Complex Networks, in addition to creating and directing the web series Selector and Vintage Shopping for Pitchfork and Complex Networks respectively. All of his works explore the various narratives of black life, with the hope of finding a space where critique and entertainment can co-exist.
