Weixiao Wei worked with Taiyuan University of Technology as a lecturer at the College of Foreign Languages and Literatures between 2010 - 2023. In July 2017, she received a visiting scholarship from China Scholarship Council (CSC) to undertake research projects at Swansea University, UK for a year. Since then, she has published three monographs and six book chapters with Routledge. She served as the first editor of The Routledge Handbook of Descriptive Rhetorical Studies published in 2023. She is also the editor of the Chinese language studies section in Routledge Resources Online - Chinese Studies section. In addition to preparing research papers, monograph and edited volumes for further publication, she has been pursuing her PhD study in rhetoric and composition at University of Houston. Der-lin Chao is Professor of Chinese and Head of the Chinese BA in Language, Literature, Translation and MA in the Teaching of Chinese programs at Hunter College, City University of New York. She devotes herself to language program pedagogy, design, and evaluation; development of technology and web-based instructional materials; teacher education; proficiency-based language education; and the history of Chinese language instruction. In addition, she is thoroughly invested in developing extra-collegiate Chinese educational initiatives, including K-12 Chinese curriculum development and enhancement with partner schools throughout the New York City area.
