Paul John Amrod is an accomplished American musician, composer, and poet with a rich and varied career. He has also worked as an arranger for A&M Records and a studio pianist for Columbia Records. In the 1980s, Amrod moved to Germany, where he continued to perform and teach jazz. He has played extensively throughout Europe and has developed educational programs on the history of jazz piano. His performances often incorporate elements of ragtime, hard bop, and modern jazz improvisation . Amrod's poetry often reflects his deep engagement with music and his critical perspective on contemporary issues. His recent work, "Chronicles of an Insurrection," features poetic verses critiquing Donald Trump and his campaign, showcasing his ability to merge artistic expression with political commentary.
