Brenda Groskinsky has a very extensive and diversified academic background and has used her education and experience to pioneer complex data management and analysis methods in the development and implementation of innovative applied environmental research during her 34-year federal career with the U.S. Geological Survey and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. She completed a double major B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and B.S. degree in Computer Science and Geology from the University of Montana – Billings, a M.S. in Mathematics from Portland State University, Portland, OR, and a M.S. Computer Science from University of Missouri-Kansas City, KC, MO. She has completed advanced graduate level course work and passed comprehensive Ph.D. exams in both Numerical Analysis and Statistics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, KC, MO. In 2006, Brenda completed the U.S. Department of Defense’s Chief Information Officer Certificate/M.S. Equivalent from the National Defense University, Washington D.C. Lastly, Brenda pursued and completed graduate-level course-work in Economics from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, 2005-2010, studying advanced Micro and Macro Economics, Political Economics, Urban Economics, Econometrics, Institutional Economics and History of Economic Thought. In 2016 she retired from federal service and is working to develop interdisciplinary approaches and novel solutions to support and inform environmental/human health related topics.
