Lopez is Professor in the Department of Leadership, Higher, and Adult Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), Director of the Center for Leadership and Diversity, and Provostial Advisor on Access Programs at the University of Toronto, Canada. Her research focuses on equity and diversity in education, school leadership, culturally responsive leadership, antiracist education, and decolonizing education. Her previously published books and articles include Culturally Responsive and Socially Just Leadership in Diverse Contexts: From Theory to Action (2016).
