Rekha Pande is a Professor of History and the Head of the Centre for Women’s Studies at the University of Hyderabad, India. She is a feminist historian who has been working in the area of women’s history and women’s studies for the last four decades. She is the author of Sex Trafficking in South Asia with a Special Focus on India (2016), Religious Movements in Medieval India (2005), Gender Issues in the Police (2000), Child Labour in Beedi Industry (1998), and Succession in the Delhi Sultanate (1990). She was the editor of International Feminist Journal of Politics and Foreign Policy Analysis, and received a Visiting Fellowship from Birkbeck Institute of Humanities, University of London. She also served as a National Resource Person for the University Grants Commission, India, for ‘Capacity Building of Women Managers in Higher Education’.
