Robert Scott Milne has been a full-time freelance travel writer since 1972. Before that he was an encyclopedia editor for sixteen years. He was also moonlighting during those years--writing travel articles for various publications. He is a founding member of the Travel Journalists Guild and was secretary of the Council of Writers Organizations, comprised of over 23,000 members.He has written thousands of articles for the two encyclopedias previously mentioned, and for many other encyclopedias and yearbooks. Among the books to which he has contributed are The Complete Guide to Writing Nonfiction, Around the World with the Experts, The Great Escape, and Mrs. Siu's Chinese Cookbook.
