The book purports to mediate between various culturally determined profiles of the discipline of Communication Studies. Georgina Gabor is a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy and Communication Studies at the West University of Timisoara, Romania. She received a PhD and an MA in Communication Studies from Bowling Green State University, USA, in 2003 and 2000, as well as a BA in Philosophy and a BSc in Mathematics from the West University of Timisoara, Romania. Her research interests comprise rhetorical criticism and rhetorical theory, intercultural communication, and popular culture.
