The work contains five self-contained parts. The first of these covers "The Essentials" - the basic concepts, terms, roles, and functions needed during an evaluation, plus an overview of the process. The next section discusses "Preparation and Evaluation Strategy" - how to review a referral and decide on effective evaluation strategies. "Information Analysis and Interpretation" looks at how to appraise and interpret available information critically, in order to formulate a credible option. "Reports" examines how to produce a written report and the final section, "Administrative Matters", contains instructions on basic technical matters that the office needs to know when doing an evaluation.
