Jieyu Liu is Reader in Sociology of China at SOAS University of London, UK. She is the author of Gender and Work in Urban China: Women Workers of the Unlucky Generation (2007) and Gender, Sexuality and Power in Chinese Companies: Beauties at Work (2016). Junko Yamashita is Senior Lecturer at the School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies, University of Bristol, UK. Her research focuses on social and policy dimensions of family, work and inequalities, particularly in relation to care and gender.
