In Part 1-Conducting Session One: Setting Guidelines and Getting Connected, Smead is shown working with a group of upper elementary/middle school students. She discusses and demonstrates skills and techniques that will enhance the group experience. Part 2-Conducting Subsequent Sessions: Group Leadership Skills That Teach and Heal, shows Smead working with the students on the topic of anger management. Here she demonstrates a number of effective group leadership skills and therapeutic interaction techniques.

Dr Rosemarie Smead, Ph.D., is Distinguished Teaching and Service Professor at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, USA. Dr. Smead is an accomplished teacher and training consultant, with over 30 years experience working with children and adolescents in school, mental health, and family therapy settings. She has presented workshops and seminars both nationally and internationally. Dr. Smead is past president and fellow of the Association for Specialists in Group Work. She has received state, ASGW, and university awards for her distinguished teaching and service to the profession.
