This book documents voices of the people associated with the Maoist movement in South Asia’s Red Corridor which extends from Central/South India northwards into Nepal. It delineates the different strands of contemporary Left politics and discusses related questions of security, peace and development in the region.
Why are Maoist, Naxalite and Left extremist movements taking root in the most backward and underdeveloped regions of South Asia?
