He has won all three major awards given by the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, and has taught numerous graduate and undergraduate classes in law and has been a mentor and friend to many of his students. Dr. Susan Ritter holds a Ph.D. from Sam Houston State University, a M.A. from The University of Texas-Arlington, and a B.S. from Texas Women's University.
