This is a revised and updated edition of "The Yachtsman's Eight Language Dictionary". The extra languages it now incorporates are Greek and Turkish. More than 600 further terms have been added, to allow for developments in technology, making this a useful language resource for sailors.
This is a revised and updated edition of "The Yachtsman's Eight Language Dictionary". It still contains the original eight Western European languages, but has been expanded to include Greek and Turkish. The languages it covers are English, French, German, Dutch, Danish, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish and Greek. More than 600 additional items have been incorporated in this edition, to cater for developments in electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment, and taking into account the predominance of fibreglass boats, thus creating a language dictionary which is designed to be of use to yachtsmen travelling overseas.
