This is a database in book form containing up-to-date information on the effects of drugs, chemicals and physical agents on all aspects of reproduction, including embryonic development, foetal diseases, lactation and fertility.
Addressing patient concerns about the effects of chemical and physical agents on fertility, pregnancy and lactation is an important part of reproductive medicine. One resource for health professionals is REPROTOX, an online database containing up-to-date information on the effects of drugs, chemicals and physical agents on all aspects of reproduction, including embryonic development, foetal diseases, lactation and fertility. Now this resource is available in print. The book includes summaries for more than 4000 known agents - chemical, physical and biological - to which exposures can occur. Each entry offers a brief description of the agent and its uses, followed by experimental and human data on developmental toxicity, lactation effects and male and female reproductive toxicity. Where available, information is given on the agent's effect on development, reproduction and lactation. Bibliographic references are also provided.
