She was awarded the National Heritage Hero Award 2017 by the National Heritage Council and she has received a Mayoral Reception and a Person of the Month Award for her work in developing the history and heritage of Limerick City. Her history website Limerick’s Life has received national recognition, earning a bronze medal in the Ireland Blog Awards for several years running. She has worked closely with branches of Limerick Council in developing history and heritage, exhibitions, conferences and tours.
